About the Club

Shepaug Dramatics produces high quality dramas and musicals featuring students in grades 9-12. In the 2017/18 school year Shepaug Dramatics produced "The 1940s Radio Hour" and "The Stranger." Both shows were recognized with nominations for excellence in High School Theatre at the Halo Awards.

The first production for the 2018/19 School Year is Steve Martin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile." This dramatic comedy is directed by Shepaug alumnus Timothy DeRosa, who participated in Shepaug Dramatics when he was a student.

Students participating in Shepaug Dramatics have the option to audition for a role as an actor/actress on stage or can explore their interests in set design, set construction, lighting, sound, costumes, hair & make-up behind-the-scenes on stage crew.
